I was born & raised in Decatur, Illinois; there's not much of anything there, so my inner-nerd escaped me, and by the age of 10 (literally) I was teaching myself basic HTML and began my epic journey as a tech-savvy artist.
After focusing more on video/editing in high school, I went on to attend Emerson College in Boston to major in Film Production, emphasizing on post-production, but during my last 2 years, I began to focus on motion graphics and animation.
After my 3rd year of college, I traveled with Emerson to study film abroad at FAMU in Praha, Czech Republic. It was an amazing experience culturally and a complete inspiration in the way of my new found love for animation, opening my eyes to an ultimate hero, Jan Svankmajer.
During my last year I had the opportunity to ship out to Los Angeles, CA and complete an internship and gain perspective on the industry before graduation.
I graduated in the top one percent of my class; I have a solid foundation in the film production field; I am very design-forward while maintaining a great level of technological-smarts. I'm a fantastic troubleshooter and I'm quick to learn new software. I've been designing/programming/editing for years; it's what I do, and it's what I want to do.
I also love animals. LOVE them. At home in Illinois, I (as in my parents) have a border collie (Molly, pictured), a toy pomeranian (Gus), and a fat cat (Tuffy), who I love and miss with all my heart. So, I am also willing to pet-sit for you while you're on vacation. :)
